INEL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE DIVISION OF LICENSING, NRR, NRC: " EVALUATION OF SELECTED NRC OPEN ITEMS BEFORE PLANT FUEL LOAD" FIN A-6819 The enclosed NRC Form 173, Standard Order for DOE Work, for $300K is submitted in accordance with Section III.B.2 of the DOE /NRC Memorandum of Understanding dated February 24, 1978. As indicated in the enclosed NRC Fonn 173 we accept the INEL proposal cated September 1984.. Funding in the amount of $432K has previously been provided for this work with the last increment being provided by our letter and Form 173 datec July 2,1.984.

Please indicate DOE acceptance by signing and returning the enclosed NRC Form 173 to the NRC Office of Resource Management, Division of Accounting and Finance with a copy to this Office.

Dear Mr. Sims:

EG&G Idaho, Inc. is providing technical support to the NRC in the review and evaluation of allegations of design and construction deficiencies at the Comanche Peak plant (Reference). To date, EG&G has provided personnel for the first three review cycles at the plant site. A fourth review cycle is seneduled for September 10 through 21 and a possible fifth cycle for October i through 12. The NRC has expressed a strong desire to maintain personnel continuity from cycle to cycle.

This letter is written in response to an NRC verbal request for a roster of EGAG Idaho personnel to be assigned to cycles 4 and 5.

The roster for cycle 4 is attached and the roster for cycle 5 will be transmitted as soon as it i

is confirmed. EG&G Idaho appreciates the desiracility for personnel contin-uity and will do their utmost to maintain continuity. However, it cannot be guaranteed in every case.
