Dear Ms. Garde and Mr. Gregory:

This is in further response to your letter dated September 18, 1984, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), documents in i

connection with a report on the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station.

In a conversation between Ms. Garde and Carol Ann Reed on October 2, 1984, it was clarified that you were seekino the EG8G report on harassment and i

intimidation and documents concerning the EGaG/NRC contract under which this report was produced.

In my letter to you dated November 13, 1984, I stated that the search for additional documents was continuing. The search has been completed, and the documents listed on the enclosed Appendix B are being placed in the NRC PublicDocumentRoom(PDR), 1717.11 Street, NW, Washington, DC. You may obtain access by presenting a copy of this letter or by requesting POR folder F01A-84-751 in your name.

Portions of tIhe documents 1, 2 and 4 listed on Appendix C are being withheld l

from public disclosure pursuant to Exemption (4) of the FOIA (5 U.S.C.

552(b)(4)) and 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4) of the Commission's regulations. The withheld

.information is confidential business (proprietary) information.

Portions of document 3 listed on Appendix C are being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to Exemption (6) of the F0IA (5 U.S.C. 552(b)(6)) and 10

CFR 9.5(a)(6) of the Connission's regulations. Release of this information would cause a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 9.9 of the Commission's regulations, it has been determined that the information withheld is exempt from production or disclosure, and that its production or disclosure is contrary to the public interest. The persons responsible for this denial are the undersigned and Mr. Harold Denton, Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
