Please refer to my letter to you dated .fuly 23, 1985, which discussed OIE Inspection Report 84-23 for Browns Ferry regarding Vendor Manual Control Program. Enclosed is a detailed schedulo for phase II manuals. On August 1, 1985, Mike Hellums of my staff and Floyd Cantrell of your staff discussed an extension to August 9, 1985 for submitting this information.

of thrs vendor manual program. The priority for adding manuals to the contes 11ed library of vendor manuals is shown on the attached listing of scheduled system order for procedure upgrade. Work on procedures it a!. ready in progress on the first nine systems identified on the

! list. System 73 (HPCI) will be the next system work is started on.

Manuals for the first 12 systems will be placed under control by December 30, 1985. In addition there are currently 27 referenced l

manuals in the evaluation process for addition to the control program and 76 new manuals. These will also be included in the control program by December 30, 1985.

A status update on the vendor program and a schedule will be provided j by November 1, 1985, for the next quarter of work.
