PROPOSED IE BULLETIN 84-XX:
UNDERVOLTAGE TRIP ATTACHMENTS OF REACTOR TRIP BREAKERS
REFERENCE:
Your April 16, 1984, memorandum for William J. Ofrcks entitled:
" Minutes of CRGR meeting Number 61" The reference memorandum included the Committee's concurrence in issuing the proposed bulletin as worded, subject to certain modifications.
In brief, the modifications requested by the Committee have since been incorporated in a revised version of the bulletin.
In addition to the modifications requested by the Committee, the referenced memorandum included a new caveat that was imposed during a subsequent CRGR meeting held on April 11, 1984.
As a result of this new caveat, the Committee essentially withdrew its previous concurrence and decided to reconsider the question of issuing the subject' bulletin.
Prior to re-review of this matter by the Committee, NRR/IE were requested to perform analyses to demonstrate that the actions specified in the bulletin do not degrade safety.
The requested analyses have been initiated by NRR/IE.
Upon their completion, we will request the Committee to reconsider the matter of issuing the proposed bulletin.
