TMI2remainedinasafeandstableconditionduringcalendaryears2018and2019.Activitiesincluded radwasteprocessing,routinesurveillances,andequipmentrepair.
PDMSSAFETYANALYSISREPORTCHANGES
ThePDMSSARwasupdated(Update13)andsubmittedtotheNRCinGPUNuclearletter,TMI19085, datedAugust23,2019.PDMSSARUpdate13revisedthePDMSSARtoreflectthecurrentplant configuration,administrativeprocesses,andeditorialchanges.
PROCEDURECHANGES
Thetypicalcategoriesofproceduresthatwerechangedin2018and2019wereadministrative, ventilation,electricaldistribution,radwasteprocessing,fireprotection,andTechnicalSpecification surveillance.AllprocedurechangesatTMI2aremadeusingtheExelon10CFR50.59ReviewProcess, whichprovidesascreeningprocesstodetermineifthechangerequiresawrittenevaluation.During 2018and2019therewerenoprocedurechangeswhichrequiredawrittenevaluation.
TESTSANDEXPERIMENTS
NotestsorexperimentsnotdescribedinthePDMSSAR,whereanSSCisutilizedorcontrolledina mannerthatisoutsidethereferenceboundsofthedesignfortheSSCorisinconsistentwithanalysesor descriptionsinthePDMSSARwereperformedatTMI2during2018and2019.
FACILITYMODIFICATION
During2018and2019therewerenofacilitymodificationsthatimpactedtheTMI2PDMSSAR.
Therefore,no10CFR50.59evaluationswereperformedrelatedfacilitymodifications.Duetothenon operatinganddefueledstatusofTMI2duringPDMS,therearenostructures,systems,orcomponents thatarerequiredtomeetthesafetyrelatedcriteria.Therefore,therearenostructures,systems,or componentsclassifiedassafetyrelatedatTMI2duringPDMS.Allfacilitymodificationsaremadeusing theExelon10CFR50.59ReviewProcess,whichprovidesascreeningprocesstodetermineifthechange requiresawrittenevaluation.Thisreviewandscreeningprocessisbasedon,andincorporatesinits entirety,theimplementationguidanceprovidedinNEI9607,Revision1.
