Catawba Nuclear Station UFSAR Chapter 17 (09 OCT 2019) 17.1 - 1 17.1 Duke Energy Carolinas Quality Assurance Program The description of the Quality Assurance Program is contained in the Duke Energy Corporation Topical Report Quality Assurance Program Description Operating Fleet, DUKE-QAPD-001-A.

That Topical Report follows the format and content guidance of NUREG-0800, Section 17.3, except it is based on ANSI N18.7-1976 in lieu of ANSI/ASME NQA-1 and NQA-2.

Topical Report DUKE-QAPD-001-A is incorporated by reference into the UFSAR.

17.1.1 Applicability The Duke Energy Carolinas quality assurance program, as described in DUKE-QAPD-001, is applicable to items and activities designated as nuclear safety-related. Nuclear safety-related structures, systems, and components are identified in Table 3-1, Table 3-2, Table 3-4, Section 3.10, and the Catawba NUREG-0588 submittal (H. B. Tucker letter to H. R. Denton dated February 8, 1984).
