1 South Division Street Peekskill, NY, 10566 Email: dmilone@hvgatewaychamber.com Organization: Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce General Comment As the president of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce, I am writing to support the License Transfer Application (LTA) that has been filed with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) by Entergy Corp. and Holtec International to transfer Indian Point Nuclear Energy Center and its Nuclear Decommissioning Trust funds to Holtec after the last unit permanently shuts down by April 30, 2021.

Holtec is well-positioned with capabilities and experience to perform decommissioning in the timeliest possible mannershaving decades off the alternative scenario of Entergy decommissioning. With Holtec, the Indian Point site will be open for business again by the 2030s, as opposed to a full generation or two later.

Our community needs Holtec to decommission Indian Point so that we can get on with our lives and livelihoods as quickly as possible. We need jobs, economic opportunity, good wages, tax revenues, and prosperous communities. The NRCs approval of the LTA to Entergy and Holtec will ensure a better future for thousands of families, workers, businesses, and local institutions who need and deserve it.
