Dear Mr. O' Leary:
The purpoco of this letter is to report the results of a Hydraulic i
shock suppressor inspection which was conducted on March 23, 1974 on Cund-Cities Unit 2.
Pour Parker-Hannafin, 29 Pergen-Patterson and 16 Grinnellshock supprescore were inspected.
The inspection revealed that all Bercen-Patterson and Parker-Hannafin shock suppressors were operable and their intocrity intact.
Pirteen Grinnell shock suppressors were found in good condition. The remaininc shock suppressor, previously reported as sarial nu-ber 71695,-
was identified as serial nu.bor h695 The oricinal error in reporting tk.e rerial number was due to the poor quality of the stamped number on the ntr.eplete and its inacecocability. This shoch suppressor was found with no indicated oil reservoir level and the reservoir dry. There was, however, sufficient oil in the s. hock suppressor to enable it to perforn its design function.
All fittinra on the defectivo shock suppressor uere removed, elecned, reinstalled, and tichtened. The suppressor and reservoir were then refilled and no leakace was observed.
