Inspection of Shock Suppressors at Quad-Cities Nuclear Power Station Unit 2, AEC Dkt 50-265, DPR 30
Dear Mr. O' Leary:
The purpose of this letter is to report the results of a Hydraulic Shock Suppressor inspection which was conducted on June isen i,1stn en u nns., r.1 2 Irni t 9, a n. i, /. ) vav vova nn n n, w Bergen-Patterson and 16 Grinnell Shock Suppressors were inspected.
All Shock Suppressors were found to be in good condition.
Oil levels in reservoirs were of a satisfactory level.
Grinnell Suppressor number 4695 was inspected on May 2, May 24, and June 11 of this year. On all three occasions it was found to be in excellent condition; therefore, it is deemed no longer necessary to inspect this Shock Suppressor on a monthly basis. However, monthly inspections will resume if new leakage problems develop.
