Oyster Creek Station Docket No. 50-219 Emergency Core Cooling System Suction Header This will advise you titat we have inspected the emergency core cooling cyatem suction header piping supports at Oyster Creek in accordance with your 1sttir of June 21, 1972 with the following results:

1.

All seventeen vertical supports conform to the design, are in the proper locations, and indicate no damage whatsoever. A close inspection of the saddle pedestal contact point on each support indicated that the origi-nal paint in this area has not been disturbed on.the

majority of supports. This demonstrates that this piping has not been subjected to any significant vibra-tions or motion. Additionally, these members, which support the header weight, do not have threaded bolts in the bearing area.

2.

All components of the horizontal stabilizers (snubbers),

were inspected and there was no evidence of damage or deformation.

Further, it was established that the horizontal stabilizers have been installed in accord,

ance with the design drawings and are in accordance with J. A. Blume's analysis of the system supports as presented in the FDSAR Amendment 32.
