Letter from A. J. Haverfield to R. H. Vollmer, dated March 24,1982, same subject as above. The enclosed NRC Form 173, Standard Order for DOE Work, is hereby submitted in accordance with Section III B.2 of the DOE /NRC Memorandum of Understanding, dated February 24, 1978. Funding authorization in the amount of $20,000 was provided on February 8,1982. The purpose of this memorandum is to extend the period of performance until October 15, 1982, with no additional cost to the NRC. This extension is necessary because the licensee has not progressed sufficiently in his examina-tion and repair program to provide a detailed report of the incident for evaluation by PNL.
