Dear Mr. Ahearne:
I think you will agree that at a time when inflation is robbing people of much of their purchasing power, the unnecessary shut down of Three Mile Islana Unit 1 is adding to the burden of customers served by Metropolitan Edison Company.
It is our understanding that they are having to pay an inordinate amount - $400,000 a day - for replacement power that could easily be providad by the sound nuclear unit at TMI. We join with the Friends & Family of TMI in urging that you do whatever is possible to expedite the return of this unit to full operatioc. status.
