I write this letter to you in support of nuclear energy and to have TMI-l restarted.

We cannot allow ourselves to continue our dependence on foreign energy sources and degrade our standard of living or to voluntarily threaten our country's position in the world community.

We must view the TMI accident in a realistic perspective vilh emphasis on the future.

The idleness of TMI-l does not serve any purpose other than increasing the total costs of the TMI incident to the utility and its consumers.

Further, continued idleness of TMI-l casts a shadow of doubt over the policies of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission when other power plants in the country are making modifications while operating.

Again, I urge you to restart TMI-l and effect non-discriminatory policies that will insure our energy future for generations yet to come.

Sincerely,

.S c-Y WON DAVID W. VEGA s
