SUBJECT:

SUPPLEMENTAL SAFETY EVALUATION FOR OYSTER CREEK NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION DETAILED CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW (TAC NO. 61603)

The staff has evaluated the Detailed Control Room Design Review (DCRDR) for GPU Nuclear Corporation's (GPUN) Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. The evaluation is consistent with Section 18.1 Revision 0 of NUREG.0800 " Standard Review Plan for the Review of Safety Analysis Reports for Nuclear Power Plants." Results of the staff's evaluation are contained in the enclosed Supplemental Safety Evaluation.

The staff has concluded that GPUN meets all of the nine NUREG.0737, Su)plement 1 DCRDR requirements and therefore this issue is considered resolved. Tie staff may confirm, by an inspection, that the corrective actions completed by GPUN as a result of the DCRDR have been completely and properly implemented.
