PROTECTIVE ACTION RECOMMENDATIONS SMUD is required to make recommendations on consideration of protective actions to offsite officials during declared emergencies.

County decision makers will combine these recommendations with other factors and issue directions to the public on what specific protective actions, if any, are required.

The Shift Supervisor, when assuming the role of Emergency coordinator, shall make a recmunendation on consideration of protective actions on the Initital Notification Fonn (Attachment 7.2 to Emergency Plan Procedure AP.506).

This recommendation can be arrived at directly by calculating the site boundary dose using AP.509 and comparing the result te Protective Actions Guides contained in AP.528.

When the Shift Supervisor is properly relieved of the Emergency Coordi-nator duties, this responsibility shifts to the new Emergency Coordinator.
