LER #: 50-321/1981-057 Licensee: Georgia Power Company Facility Name: Edwin I. Hatch Docket #: 50-321 Narrative Report for LER 50-321/1981-057 On 6-18-81, at 9:00 EDT, with Unit 1 at 0% thermal power in the Startup Hot Standby Mode it was found that the temporary SRO revision to HNP-1-6907, "RCI" PUMP SUCTION HYDR 0" was not submitted for PRB approval within 14 days of the change as required by Tech Spec Section 6.8.3.C. The review due date was 6-11-81 and the procedure change was not approved until 6-18-81 by the plant management. No significant event occurred. This was determined reportable under Tech Spec Section 6 9.1.9.C. The cause of the event was due to an oversight by personnel in maintaining appropriate control over the temporary SRO changes due dates. Personnel have been reminded ~of the necessity of maintaining adequate evntrol over temporary SRO procedures, especially over submittal dates for procedure approval.

This is a repetitive event (Ref. LER 50-321/1979-067) and there were no effects upon public health and safety due to this event.

The unit is now in full compliance with the requirements of

, Tech Specs and no further reporting is required.
