Narrative

Report for LER 50-321/1981-061 On 6-29-81, while the plant was in steady state operation at 2400 MWt and while performing HNP-1-3604, GE H2 Analyzer Calibration, analyzer N62-N009A was found out of calibration, and N62-N009B was found inoperative.

The event date

'i s unknown but was reported inoperative on 6-29-81.

Tech Specs table 2.1.3.h, page 2-7, requires one operable channel.

Plant operation was not affected as a result of this event.

The health and safety of the public was not affected.

This is a repetitive event as last reported on LER 50-321/1981-056.

The cause of this event is presently unknown.

MR 1-81-5048 has been issued to correct the problem.

An update report will be submitted.

A generic review revealed no inherent problems.
