Dear Mr. Withers:

The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 60 to Facility Operating License No. NPF-1 for Trojan Nuclear Plant. The amendment.

consists of changes to the license in response to your application dated February 5,1981, as supplemented March 20, 1981.

The amendment approves the use of two modified fuel assemblies containing three stainless steel rods for fuel cycle 4 and one subsequent fuel cycle.

Copies of the Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
