Narrative

Report for LER 50-321/1931-020 While in refueling mode and performing the Standby Liquid Control (SBLC)

Pump Operability and Discharge Relief Valve Test, HNP-1-3702, the "B" SBLC Relief Valve, IC41-F0298, operated at 1180 psig.

The acceptable range is 1325 i75 psig per Tech Specs 4.4.A.2.a.

The redundant "A" loop was operable. This is a repetitive event as last reported on Reportable Occurrence Report No. 50-321/1981-020.

There was no effect on safe plant operation nor the health and~ safety of the public due to this event.

The cause of the event was setpoint drift on the '"B" SBLC Discharge Relief Valve,1C41-F0298. The valve was reset to 1325 psig per SBLC Pump Operability and Relief Valve Test Procedure, HNP-1-3702 The system was returned to service and was operable.

The generic review revealed no inherent problems other than setpoint drift.

Work is continuing toward the reduction of the drift problem.
