Dear Mr. Crouse:
We have reviewed the information you provided us in your letter dated August 4,1980, which was in response to our request for additional information on reactor coolant system flow sensing lines at Davis-Besse.
As a result of this review, we are concerned about the close I.7ximity With of the redundant flow sensing lines and the flow transmitters.
respect to meeting the single failure criterion, you are requested to provide a discussion of the high energy line break effects on: a) the flow sensing lines inside the secondary shielding, and b) the flow transmitters.
It is requested that this information be provided by August 25, 1980.
