APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Duke Power Company License No. CPPR-116 Catawba Nucl-ar Station Based on the NRC inspection. May 27-30, 1980, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. These items have been categorized.as described in correspondence to you dated December 31, 1974.
As required by' 10 CFR 50, Appendix B,' Criterion V and as implemented by.
Duke Power Company.(DPC) Topical Report " DUKE 1-A" Section 17 paragraph 17.1.5, " Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by---drawings---
and shall be accomplished in accordance with those---drawings." Duke pipe support ~ drawing CN-AA-131 Revision 6 requires -a 5/16-inch fabrication fillet weld leg size.
Contrary to the above,. on May 29, 1980, the fabrication fillet weld leg
. size for safety related pipe support No. 1-ARN-3839, fabricated in accord-ance with CN-AA-131, was noted to be less than k-inch in one area.
This is an infraction.
