i I. Introduction This report discusses the radioactive discharges from Unit 1 of Donald C. Cook IIuclear Plant during the second six months of calendar year 1977. The format presented in Section 5.4 13 of " Appendix 3 Technical Specifications" for the above , men-tioned unit. is followed in preparing this document.

During this reporting period, the unit was placed in Cold Shutdown Condition between November 18, 1977 and December 3, 1977 by NRC order. The reason for this shutdown was to replace unqualified electrical connectors with connectors or splices meeting the requirements set forth by the United States Iluclear Regulatory Commission. The only other major forced outage occurred on July 31, 1977, when the unit was. taken out of service for two days to repair welded connections on feedwater flow meter impulse lines.

The details and data concerning radio active discharges from Unit 1 during the second six months of 1977 are presented {

in Appendix A, following the format of Section 5.4 of Appendix 1 B Environmental Technical Specifications. As in previous re-ports, the releases were well within the limits set forth in Appendix B Environmental Technical Specification for D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant. ~l
