Gentlemen:

Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2 ECCS Performance Results In References (1) and (2), Nor theast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) submitted the results of the small break and large break LOCA/ECCS performance analysis.

As originally docketed, the information demonstrated acceptable results, but QA verification had not been completed. The purpose of this letter is to advise the NRC Staff that QA verification has been completed and that References (1) and (2) are correct as originally docketed. The material is, tharefore, sufficient to demonstrate compliance with the criteria delineated in 10CFR50.46 for Cycle 3 operation at Millstone Unit No. 2.

With the successful completion of the QA verification process, NNECO has docketed all safety analyses required to support Cycle 3 operation at 2700 MWt. NNECO and NUSCO personnel remain available to clarify previous submittals as may be required by the FRC Staff to facilitate favorable disposition of our request.
