FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT DOCKET NO. 50-333 ATTACHMENT TO LER 79-117/03L-0 Page 1 of 1 During preparation for reactor startup and while conducting Operations Surveillance Test F-ST-5N titled "APRM High Flux in Shutdown, Startup or Refuel Functional Test," APRM Channel D scram trip point was found set at 23% compared to a Technical Specification Appendix A, Table 3.1-1 limit of equal to or less than 15%. The remaining five (5) APRM channels were veri-fled to be set within the Technical Specification limits therefore the event did not represent any significant hazard to the public health and safety.

The improper set point is believed to be due to instrument drift of the 15% trip point. Recalibration of the instrument restored it to operable status the same day. ,
