During normal operation on October 17, 1979, as a result of the Pipe Stress Re-Analysis being conducted by the Architect Engineer, t plant staff was notified that a pipe hanger in the Fuel Pool Cooling System w s e,onsidered inoperable in accordance with the requirements of the August 14,,

,J letter lifting the Show Cause Order of March 13, 1979 Speci fically, hanger H19-228 was considered inoperable based on the final load in formation.

Based on preliminary load information received on October 10, 1979 the affected hanger was upgraded.

Since final load is less than or equal to the preliminary loads, the hanger, as modified, is fully acceptable and the system is currently operable. Modification was completed prior to the receipt of the final loads therefore, the event did r.ot represent a significant hazard to the public heal th and safety.
