During the Hatch Unit I refueling o u '.a g e, while reviewing the supports ESl-RCICH-16 and ESl-RCICH-17 on the RCIC torus suction line for replacement of expansion

anchors, it was noticed that the guide bars required by the haager detail sketches to provide lateral restraint were not installed.

The icek of lateral restraints on these supports affects the seismic and thermal analysis of the ' RCIC torus suction line.

The ability cf the supports to support the pipe weight was not affected.

The cause of the inability of the succorts to provide lateral estraint was i= proper installation.

A new lateral restraint, E51-RCICH-17A, has been designed and installed near E51-RCICH-17 E51-RCICH-16 has been redesigned and will be installed.

Bechtel will review the new support designs for acceptability per the, seismic and ther=al analysis prior to startup of the unit.
