While shutdown in the cold condition, during the conduct of F-IMP-36.5 titled

" Circulating Water System Water Temperature RTD's," the computer calculations for condenser inlet water and plant cooling water discharge temperature differential temperature were found out of calibration.

Technical Specifications Appendix B, Paragraph 2.1.1 requires calculation of the differential temperature with an accuracy of 0.5 F.

While performing F-IMP-36.5 these calculations were found to be in error at several points between 32 and 104.4 F.

In each case the indicated differential temperature was larger than the actual differ-ential temperature, the largest errcr being 1.83 F.

In view of the small error and the instrument drift in the conservative direction, the event did not represent any significant hazard to the public ' health and safety.

The instruments were recalibrated to within the limits of Technical Specifica-tions and verified satisfactory utilizing F-IMP-36.5.
