Request for Renewal of 10 CFR 71 Certificate of Compliance 9261 Docket Number 71-9261

Dear Mr. Layton:

In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 71.38(b) Holtec International hereby requests renewal of 10 CFR 71 Certificate of Compliance (CoC) Number 9261 for the HI-STAR 100 transportation package. The current expiration date for CoC 9261 is April 30, 2019.

Because the HI-ST AR SAR, Revision 18 is an updated, consolidated document, containing all information germane to the latest revision of the CoC, a consolidated application is not required for this renewal request pursuant to 10 CFR 71.38(c).

Note that an application for an amendment to the HI-STAR 100 CoC (LAR 9261-11) was submitted in September 2018. Holtec is submitting this renewal request separately, to ensure that it can be reviewed by the staff separately from the technical changes requested in that amendment, which may take more time.
