RO-50-315-76-21 SUPPLEtlENT TO EVENT DESCRIPTIOi'l AND 1,009 IN THE LOWER HALF OF THE CORE. HOWEVER, ANALYSIS OF tfAP 101-83 DID INDICATE A FLUX DEPRESSION NEAR ASSEMBLY E-3. FURTHER If'lVESTIGATION INDICATED A StQLL PORTION OF ROD CLUSTER COiNTROL ASSEMBLY (RCCA) E-3. HAD BEEN LEFT IN THE CQRE. AT THIS POINT, RCCA E-3 WAS DECLARED INOPERABLE AND POWER OPERATION llAS LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 75/ PO'LtER UNDER TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 3/4.1.3.

SUPPLEMENT TO CAUSE DESCRIPTION ANALYSIS If'lDICATES THAT ONE (1) OR TWO (2) FINGERS ARE IN THEIR GUIDE. TUBES IN THE CORE (RCCA CONTAII'lS TWENTY (20) FINGERS). BY EXAMINING TRACES FROM INCORE DETECTORS F-3 AND D-3 ADJACENT TO E-3, IT IS CONCLUDED THAT THE FINGERS LEFT IN THE CORE ARE FULLY INSERTED OVER THEIR ENTIRE LENGTH.
