Re: Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Annual Non-Radiological Environmental Monitorin Re ort 1987 Section 5.4.1 of Appendix B of the Environmental Technical Specifications (ETS) for Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 require the submittal of a Non-Radiological Environmental Monitoring Report annually. The report is due to the NRC by March 31 of the year following the reporting year. Listed below is the information required to be reported under the applicable provision of the Appendix B ETS:

Section 5.4.1.1 Records of Monitorin Re irement Surve s and Sam les Section 5.4.1.2 Anal sis of Environmental Data Section 5.4.1.3 Records of Chan es in Surve Procedures.

There were no activities at the plant site in 1987 requiring reporting under these Sections. However, various plant site activities are subject to review by company environmental procedures. All review documentation is contained in Company Environmental Review Group (CERG) records.

4 U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission L-88-126 Page two Crocodile monitoring continued at the Turkey Point site during 1987. The monitoring program has shown the presence and dynamic nature of all size classes of animals on the site. . Four nests were documented in 1987 with a total of 30 hatchlings being marked. One of the four nests was unsuccessful and the cause of the failure was determined to be due to small infertile eggs. It is felt that an immature female is attempting to nest but has not matured enough to produce viable eggs. Ten previous marked juvenile animals were captured and released on site. Growth rates of all, recaptured animals was positive.
