501-1.2-1.22 CONTAINMENT SPRAY RECIRCULATION REV 0 FOLLOWING LOSS OF SECONDARY COOLANT ACTION/EXPECTED RESPONSE RESPONSE NOT OBTAINED EMERGENCY INSTRUCTION SO1-1.2-1.22 CONTATINMENT SPRAY RECIRCULATION FOLLOWING LOSS OF SECONDARY COOLANT I.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this procedure is to provide containment spray if containment pressure remains high after the RWST is exhausted. This event would most likely occur with a loss of secondary coolant inside containment with the need to continually feed auxiliary feedwater.

FOLLOWING LOSS OF SECONDARY COOLANT STE.

ACTION/EXPECTED RESPONSE RESPONSE NOT OBTAINED NOTE:

Containment Spray Recirculation must be established before the RWST level reaches 7'.

1 Start SI Recirculation Pumps:

a.

Start both SI recirculation pumps AND run for two minutes against Tose discharge valves.

2 Verify Salt hater Cocling:

a. One saltwater cooling
a. Place aux salt water pump breaker - CLOSED.

3 Verify Component Cooling To Rec rcuIation Heat Exchanger:

a.

Two CCW pump breakers

a. Manually start pumps CLOSED.

as necessary.

b. Open recirculation
b. Locally trip open heat exchanger CCW CV 737 A, AND B.

4 Reduce Containment Spray Flow:

a. Override and close CV 517
a. Locally trip closed AND CV 518.

Verify Spray Flow:

a. Spray flow indicator

-LESS THAN 600 GPM.

b. One refueling water
b. Manually start a pump breaker -

CLOSED.

6 Establish Recirculation Flow:

a. Open Si recirculation Dump disharge MCV 866 A AND 7

Isclate RwST:

a. Close MOV 883.
a. Manually close MOV 883.

8 SubseQuent Action:

a. Continue with instruction in erfect.
