Letter from Duke Energy to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC),

Flood HazardReevaluation Report, dated March 12, 2013.

By letter dated March 12, 2013 (Ref.), Duke Energy submitted the ONS Flood Hazard Reevaluation Report as required by "Request for Information Pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 50.54(0 Regarding Recommendations 2.1, 2.3, and 9.3, of the Near-Term Task Force Review of Insights from the Fukushima Dai-ichi Accident," dated March 12, 2013.

The NRC has subsequently requested that Duke Energy provide a document referenced in the flood hazard report entitled, "Jocasseeand Keowee Dams, Breach ParameterReview," by Joseph L. Ehasz, P.E. and Dr. David S., Bowles, P.E., dated February 2013. The requested information is provided as Enclosure 1. In addition, the NRC has expressed interest in a March 12-14, 2013, Board of Consultants/FERC EFM Review Meeting report for ONS. This report is being provided as Enclosure 2.

This letter contains no regulatory commitments.
