INITIATING CUE

1. You have received a call at ext. 2211, the Dresden Station Emergency Telephone Extension. The following information is reported by a contractor:
  • Bill Smith, a contractor, has fallen from a ladder in the Mechanical Maintenance Shop and has broken his arm and leg.
  • He is not contaminated
  • I am calling from ext. 4444
2. The Shift Manager has directed you to perform the actions to handle the injury per DOA 0010-07, PERSONNEL EMERGENCIES.
3. SA-AA-120, SA-AA-123, Tech Spec and EAL actions will be performed by the Shift Manager.
4. Inform the Shift Manager after the site nurse has been notified.

Dispatch Radiation Protection Technicians (RPTs) to the scene to assess the situation AND/OR to administer first aid.

Examinee dispatches RPTs via telephone ext. 2253 As Rad Prot, report that you will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Shop to assist.

Direct Operations personnel to the scene to act as a communication link with the main control room.

Examinee dispatches operators via radio or telephone ext. 2198 As an extra EO, report that you will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Shop to assist.
