LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 0~09B6 Rockville, Maryland PURPOSE: Conference call public meeting between STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss Generic Safety Issue (GSI) 191, "Assessment of Debris Accumulation on PWR [Pressurized-Water Reactor] Sump Performance." STPNOC will discuss a risk informed GSI-191 resolution option approach regarding South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2.

CATEGORY": This is a Category 1 Meeting via conference call. The public is invited to participate in this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned .

Feedback on strainer pass through experiment plan.

High-temperature vertical loop head loss experiments plan and protocol followup.

Review the methodology used to evaluate the risk (probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) and containment accident sequence stochastic analysis (CASA) Grande applications) and to solicit feedback from the NRC staff on any additional information that may be required from the analysis.

Chemical effects debris bed protocol and precipitate diagnostics.

Relationship of the South Texas Project approach to the risk-informed approach in Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 04-07.
