FORTHCOMING PUBLIC MEETING VIA CONFERENCE CALL WITH STP NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY (TAC NOS. ME7735 AND ME7736)

DATE & TIME: Thursday, February 9,2012 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 0-08B6 Rockville, Maryland PURPOSE: Follow-up discussion to the public meeting held on June 2, 2011, and conference call public meetings held on November 1 and December 1, 2011, between STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss Generic Safety Issue (GSI) 191, "Assessment of Debris Accumulation on PWR [Pressurized-Water Reactor] Sump Performance." STPNOC will discuss a risk-informed GSI-191 resolution option approach regarding South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2.

CATEGORY:* This is a Category 1 Meeting via conference call. The public is invited to participate in this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned .
