REQUEST FOR EXEMPTION FROM SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF 10 CFR PART 73 - ACCEPTED FOR REVIEW (TAC NO. L24501)

Dear Mr. Lenois:

By letter dated November 30, 2010, Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) submitted a response to the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions letter of August 2, 2010, to Wayne Norton, President, CYAPCO, Haddam Neck Plant - Revised Power Reactor Security Rule, and requested an exemption from specific requirements of 10 CFR 73.55.

The staff has reviewed your letter and has determined that it provides sufficient information to proceed with its detailed evaluation. Please reference TAC No. L24500 in all future correspondence.
