ME1595 The purpose of this letter is to respond to the requests for additional information (RAIs) identified in the referenced NRC correspondence to Dow Chemical Company (Reference 1).

Dow requires additional time to develop the response to these RAIs. The additional time is insures adequate time for the Board of Directors to meet. The response to these RAIs will be submitted by Oct. 31, 2010.
