Hello Again Marjorie, Since we have been working on this with the NYS DOH, and they were participants in the last NRC public meeting with us, I forwarded your e-mail to them. I dont' think they will participate, but wanted to make sure they were in the loop. I will let you know what their decision is.

Tim

Tim and Chris, It was such a pleasure meeting you at the Government-to-Government meeting. We greatly appreciated having you there, and especially welcomed your participation in the posterboard session. Having NRC and New York State representatives available to discuss their individual roles and especially any complimentary functions, I think served a great benefit to both of our agencies.

It is with this in mind, that I wish to inform you of another upcoming meeting that NRC is hosting regarding the Indian Point Energy Center.

Every year, we hold public meetings in the vicinity of each of our power plants to discuss their performance during the previous year. As you certainly know, the meetings for Indian Point have historically been well-attended, and have at times provided a forum for some energetic speakers.

This year, we want to try something different for this meeting, and want to present our assessment of the plant's performance and allow the public to participate in the meeting in a more fruitful manner. We found the posterboard session at the government-to-government meeting to be an effective way to allow more people to ask questions on the subject(s) about which they care the most. As a result, we will be using this method at this year's annual assessment meeting. We will again have a posterboard set up for Groundwater Contamination, and wish to invite the NY DEC to participate. We will be happy to arrange for a separate area for you to set up a station, or to make room for your people and materials at ours.
