Summary of May 9, 2006, Annual Assessment Meeting with Constellation Energy, R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC On May 9, 2006, at 1:00 p.m., an annual assessment meeting was conducted at the Ontario Golf Club, Ontario, NY, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Constellation Energy, R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC. The NRC presented and discussed its assessment of the safety performance of R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant for the period between January 1 through December 31, 2005.

The NRC presentation for the annual assessment meeting included information on the Reactor Oversight Program (ROP), an overview of national ROP results, and the results of NRC's performance assessment for R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. As part of this regulatory performance meeting, Constellation Energy, R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC presented its perspective regarding the plant's performance and operational goals for 2006. At the end of the meeting between the NRC and Constellation Energy, R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC, public attendees were offered the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials. Questions raised by local media at the meeting were also addressed by the NRC. Feedback forms submitted by the public following the meeting will be evaluated.
