MAINTENANCE OF REFERENCE MATERIAL AT THE PENFIELD LIBRARY, STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK FOR THE NINE MILE POINT UNITS 1 AND 2 LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAC NOS. MC3274 AND MC3275)
Dear Ms. Bennett:
This letter is a follow-up to our meeting on June 8, 2004, concerning the maintenance of relevant documents by your library. These documents are related to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs review of the application by Constellation Energy Group (Constellation) for license renewal of the Nine Mile Point Units 1 and 2 (NMP) for an additional 20 years.
The application was submitted to the NRC on May 27, 2004, and consists of two 4-inch binders.
Over the two year review period, the volume of documents and related correspondence is expected to fill one fourth of a 3-foot shelf. A paper copy of the application was forwarded to you on June 4, 2004. We understand that the application will be accessible from the reference and information desk during normal library hours.
An electronic version will also be made available at the NRCs Public Electronic Reading Room, accessible through the NRCs home page http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html under ADAMS accession number ML041490211. In addition, the application is available on the NRC web page at http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/licensing/renewal/applications.html, while the application is under review.
