Dear Sir or Madam:

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Entergy Nuclear Operations Inc. (ENOI) submitted requests for License Amendments toward plans to permanently cease power operations at James A.

FitzPatrick Power Plant (JAF) [Reference 1]. These plans changed with the pending sale of JAF to Exelon Generation and continued power operations [Reference 4]. This letter addresses the cancellation of open requests to the NRC and regulatory commitments made pursuant to ceasing power operations.

On January 15, 2016, a request to revise the JAF Technical Specification Administrative Controls was made in Reference 2 (CAC No. MF7280). Based on the decision to continue operations, ENOI is withdrawing this amendment application.

On February 4, 2016, a request to revise the JAF Emergency Plan was made in Reference 3 (CAC No. MF7347). Based on the decision to continue operations, ENOI is withdrawing this amendment application. Regulatory commitments made toward this application have been canceled and are summarized in the Attachment.

JAFP-17-0004 Page 2 of 2 The regulatory commitment made in Reference 1 to cease power operations on January 27, 2017 per 10 CFR 50.82(a)(1 )(i) has been canceled. A summary of this change may be found in the Attachment.
