Remote Shutdown System flodification (Closed) Open Items (461/86054-10) (461/86028-07) (SSER-6)): Verify modifications to allow use of Division II equipment for remote shutdown are implemented prior to startup from the first refueling.

The inspector reviewed Field Engineering Change Notices (FECN) 1567),
15672 and 24304. These FECNs are design change documents that were implemented to effect the modifications to the Division II electrical system. The modification consisted of installing local control switches on circuit breaker doors in parallel with the existing control circuits for the following components:
Reactor Pressure Vessel Head Spray Isolation Valve RHR Pump heat exchanger 1B shell side outlet valve RHR Pump 18 suction valve.
RHR Pump 1B test return to suppression pool valve RHR heat exchanger 1B shell side inlet valve RHR heat exchanger 1B shell side bypass valve RHR Pump 1B minimum flow valve RHR heat exchanger 1B SSil outlet valve RHR heat exchanger 1B SSU inlet valve RHR Pump 1B., LPCI valve RHR shutdown cooling injection valve WS to SX header isolation valve SSU Pump Room 1B supply fan SX Pump 1B RHR Pump 1B b.
The inspector performed a walkdown inspection of the installed modification to verify that the modification had been completed in accordance with the applicable design documents. Local control switches had been braikd as specified in the design change package and ma.ntenance work request (IlllR) No. 40317.

The inspector reviewed the results of acceptance testing accomplished to assure that the modification would perform as designed and would not have an adverse effect on the Division II electrical system's normal safety functions.

regard to documents or processes reviewed by the inspector during the inspection. The licensee did not identify any such documents or processes as proprietary.
