SUBJECT:

BRAIDWOOD STATION - NRC ISFSI SECURITY INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 05000456/2011405(DNMS); 05000457/2011405(DNMS); AND 07200073/2011401(DNMS)

Dear Mr. Pacilio:

On June 22, 2011, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed a security inspection of the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) at the Braidwood Station, Braceville, Illinois. The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate whether the protection of the ISFSI was in compliance with the Braidwood Physical Security Plan (PSP) and the NRC Order EA-2010-050, Issuance of Order for Implementation of Additional Security Measures and Fingerprinting for Unescorted Access for Braidwood Station Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation, dated June 9, 2010. At the conclusion of the on-site inspections on March 10, and June 22, 2011, the inspectors discussed the inspection findings with members of your Security, Radiation Protection, and Regulatory Assurance staff.

Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. However, because of the security-related discussion contained in the enclosure, and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, a copy of this letters enclosure will not be available for public inspection.

Enclosure Contains Sensitive Unclassified Non-Safeguards Information. When separated from enclosure, this transmittal document is decontrolled. We will gladly discuss any questions you may have regarding this inspection.
