THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION RESPONSE TO CONSTELLATION ENERGY GENERATION, LLC, DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION AND BRAIDWOOD STATION TRIENNIAL U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION-EVALUATED FORCE-ON-FORCE INSPECTION DATE CHANGE REQUEST
Dear William Marsh:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff received your email titled 2025 FOF schedule (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System accession number ML ML24127A210) and has conducted a review of the information contained within. Your email stated that Dresden Nuclear Power Station Units 2 and 3, is formally requesting a date change to the NRC-evaluated force-on-force (FOF) due to a schedule conflict with an Emergency Preparedness exercise at Dresden Nuclear Power Station during the current scheduled timeframe in 2025. In the email chain Braidwood Station has agreed to swap their 71130.03 inspection dates with Dresden Nuclear Power Station.
The staff finds reasonable Dresden Nuclear Power Stations request to swap the NRC-evaluated FOF inspection dates of Dresden and Braidwood, and therefore approves the new schedule accordingly. Dresdens currently scheduled NRC-evaluated FOF inspection in April 2025 will be subsequently rescheduled to March 2025; Braidwoods currently scheduled NRC-evaluated FOF inspection in March 2025 will be subsequently rescheduled to April 2025.
