PUBLIC MEETING SUMMARY - VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1, 2, 3, & 4 DOCKET NO. 50-424, 50-425,52-025, 52-026, MEETING NUMBER 20230375
On April 20, 2023, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a meeting concerning Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Units 1, 2, 3, and 4. The purpose of the meeting was to provide opportunities for the public to discuss the annual assessment for the period of January 1, 2022 - December 31, 202 To allow the NRC to effectively engage and maximize public stakeholders the meeting was held both in-person and virtually (i.e., hybrid) using Microsoft Teams applicatio Additionally, a telephone bridge line was available. The following documents related to the meeting are available in ADAMS: Meeting Notice (ML23094A286), VEGP Units 1 and 2 Annual Assessment Letter (ML23053A188), VEGP Unit 3 Annual Assessment Letter (ML23058A229), VEGP Unit 4 Annual Assessment Letter (ML23053A134), and VEGP Units 1 - 4 2022 Annual Assessment Meeting Presentation Slides (ML23094A140).
The meeting was conducted from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM eastern time. There were approximately 30 attendees; the list of attendees is included as an enclosure to this memorandum. In summary, the attendees consisted of representatives from the NRC (23), Southern Company (2), Office of United States Senator Raphael Warnock (1), and members of the public (4) that did not indicate affiliation with any organization.
