UPDATED INSPECTON PLAN FOR GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION
(REPORT 05000416/2018005)
Dear Mr. Larson:
The enclosed inspection plan lists the inspections scheduled through June 30, 2020, for Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. The NRC provides the inspection plan to allow for the resolution of any scheduling conflicts and personnel availability issues. Routine inspections performed by resident inspectors are not included in the inspection plan. The inspections listed during the last twelve months of the inspection plan are tentative and may be revised. The NRC will contact you as soon as possible to discuss changes to the inspection plan should circumstances warrant any changes.
As discussed in the 2018 annual assessment letter (ADAMS Accession No. ML18057B123),
dated March 1, 2018, as well as NRC Inspection Report 05000416/2016007 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18134A007), dated May 14, 2018, the NRC plans to conduct one or more inspections in accordance with Inspection Procedure 92723, Follow Up Inspection for Three or More Severity Level IV Traditional Enforcement Violations in the Same Area in a 12-Month Period, to follow up on your action to address multiple Severity Level IV traditional enforcement violations issued since December 2016 in the area of impeding the regulatory process. These inspections will be scheduled after you notify the NRC of your readiness.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
