Inspection Su=marv Insoection on June 21 and 22, 1979 (Recort No. 50-409/79-14)
Areas Insoected: Included follow-up on iter identified in I= mediate Ac tiot' Letter of March 23, 1979; follow-up on items identified during the previous physical security inspection; review of Physical Barriers (Protected Area); Physical Barriers (Vital Area); Access Control (Vital Area), and Locks, Keys and Combinations. The inspection involved 19 inspector-hours onsite by two NRC inspectors. The inspection was begun during the day shift period and 2 inspection-hours were accomplished during off-shift periods.
Results: The licensee was found to be in compliance w th NRC requirements within the areas inspected except for the following 2 it. ems:

Physical Barriers (Vital Area) - A vital area portal was not maintained properly.

Locks, Keys and Combinations - The licensee utilized improper locking mechanisms.
