Areas Discussed The Regional Administrator opened the meeting with a request for discussion of the licensee's long range plans and goals in resolving the issues discussed during the last meeting held on August 4, 1981, and documented in IE Report Nos. 50-315/81-20 and 50-316/81-23.
Specific concerns were expressed in the following areas:
- The plans must be formalized as well as specific to time tables for accomplishment.
- The desired goal must be obvious and reflected in the plan.
- Candid, factual communications with the NRC are essential.
- Roles in the management structure must be well defined in terms of accountability and responsibility for implementation of the plan.
The licensee explained the plan outlined in their letter AEP:NRC:0625 dated October 16, 1981, and provided details of actions already complete.
The licensee committed to supplement this letter to provide more details of their corrective action plans including schedules and commitments.

The Regional Administrator's concluding comments stressed keeping the objectives in mind while finalizing the planned action and that we would set a date for the next of these periodic meetings following receipt of the licensee's supplemental letter.
He also emphasized that the NRC relies heavily on the accuracy of information provided by licensee's and cautioned that receipt of inaccurate or misleading information was viewed very seriously by the NRC and would likely lead to strong enforcement actio ~~sH~,
