Thank you for your letter dated September 18, 1981, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance which we brought to your attention in Inspection Reports No. 50-315/81-17; 50-316/81-20 forwarded by our letter dated August 19, 1981.
Your response to Item 1 appears adequate, and that area will be examined during a subsequent inspection.
Your response to Item 2 stated your position on the subject of preplanned lectures and requested that the violation be withdrawn.
The matter was discussed during a telephone conversation between Mr.,D. Nelson of your staff and Mr. M. Holzmer of our office on September 25, 1981.
Our under-standing of your position is that "preplanned" lectures as mentioned in
CFR 55, Appendix A, refer to lecture topics which are selected in advance according to the weak areas identified in annual requalification examinations.
Based upon this and our further review we now agree that your lectures are'replanned in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 55, Appendix A.
Therefore, we will withdraw the violation.
