DIABLO CANYON POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - NRC INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION SECURITY INSPECTION REPORT 05000275/2018401, 05000323/2018401 AND 07200026/2018401
Dear Mr. Welsch:
On March 30, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed a security inspection at your Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation.
The NRC inspector discussed the results of this inspection with Mr. R. Zimkowski, Acting Director of Security, and other members of your staff. The inspector documented the results of this inspection in the enclosed inspection report.
No NRC-identified or self-revealing findings were identified during this inspection.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 2.390, Public Inspections, Exemptions, Requests for Withholding, of the NRC's "Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
However, the enclosed report contains Security-Related Information, so the enclosed report will not be made publically available in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1). If you choose to provide a response that contains Security-Related Information, please mark your entire response Security-Related Information - Withhold from Public Disclosure Under 10 CFR 2.390 (d)(1) and follow the instructions for withholding in 10 CFR 2.390(b)(1). The NRC is waiving the affidavit requirements for your response in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(b)(1)(ii).
